Baggage allowance - A vicious trap

A trip to remember is a trip well spent. Tried hard to leave for this trip of around 2 weeks where i was away from work, family, socializing, etc. etc. I would love to share all the beautiful and thoughful moments with you all but would like to begin with such a suppressive and cheerful moment altogether which saved my 15000+  INR which i would have lost unknowingly.

This weight reduced my weight ;)

Have you ever booked a flight? That too a Cabin Baggage only flight? If yes/no this happening will make you think twice while booking a cabin baggage only flight. (Must read for every flight traveller)

Thailand Singapore Flight TicketIntro: I am a back packer so din't had a desire to get loaded with much weight in my bags so i purchased 2 small sized (10L capacity) bags from Decathlon and folded them in my backpack. We  both had 2 backpacks with total weight of around 16kgs in total. In our first flight to thailand the baggage allowance was 20kg+7kg (i.e. 54kg total) each so we din't have any botheration. But when we were leaving from bangkok, the baggage allowance per person was only 7kg per person (i.e. 14kg total) but due to huge list of shopping from bangkok our total baggage was 30kg around.

Plan: While booking my flight tickets i confirmed from my agent friend that whether i can purchase extra baggage from airport or i should purchase baggage while booking the flight itself. He said there is no difference while booking from airport counter and online.

Shock: But when i reached Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport i got to know that if we book baggage atleast 4 hours before check-in time then the excess baggage charges are around 50 baht per kg but if we book baggage anytime less than 4 hours from check-in time you'll be charged at 500 baht per kg. I was in such suppressive situation because i had to pay for baggage as much i din't even pay for my flights.

Twist: But before purchasing the extra baggage i thought why not take a risk. I asked my partner to get the small bags and put maximum stuff in both of them keeping only 7kg each backpack. I asked my partner to go and get the boarding pass first keeping both small bags with me and then i went for my boarding pass and baggage weight checked. Fortunately, after this trick nobody checked our baggage for weight anywhere and after spending 2 hours around in stress and anxiety we finally got relaxed while we successfully boarded out Thai-Lion flight to Singapore.

Moral: It was such bad time we spent and such a great feeling when we saved our 15000 bucks by just a small trick and confidence.

Tips:
1. Never trust an agent, knock the doors of google
2. Never surrender easily, fight back always and ever jab tak hai jaan, jab tak hai jaan :p
3. Think for saving rather spending :p
4. Big risks often bring bigger profits

To be continued........ Trip hasn't even started yet, will be very interesting, knowledgeable, humorous and inspiring.....

Adventure is the motto of my life else it could have been nothing. Life has been giving me such beautiful hopes every moment wherein i could feel myself so much blessed to have been living in a dreamy world. Travel has been most sensitized organ of my soul giving wings to my body to fly as a free Eagle of the Sky. During the journey of my life's past few couple of years, i had been enjoying the Fear of Adventures as the Food for my Soul.

I enjoyed the Snow-Scooter ride all across the slanting hill tops of beautiful mountains covered with Snow in Rohtang-Manali (Himachal Pradesh). It was indeed a thrill yet not meant for heart-patients and all those who don't enjoy the fear.

Seashore and Beaches are just love. During my recent Pattaya tour, i really enjoyed my Parasailing ride alot where the crew tied my parachute's rope with a speedboat and within second i was flying in the sky. In the mid-ride the boat pilot slowed-down the boat and my parachute started coming down in the sea. When i was half inside the sea-water and half above he again pushed the boat accelerator and my thrill was onto it's next level. So i wish to advice, parasailing at Pattaya is a must ride experience and do ask him to make you touch the sea during your ride.

When my mom saw these photographs, she wanted to beat me with her chappal looking. "Risk nhi liya to life mei kya kiya bhaisaab". It was indeed a risky yet wonderful location somewhere in PatniTop and Nathatop (Jammu & Kashmir). Snow covered mountains ignite a wonderful feeling amongst all.

Air-Safari in Rishikesh was the most amazing moment i had while riding a 2-seater jet with fresh air giving me bliss of being a living being flying in the sky. My co-pilot's microphone was connected to me where he used to act as guide to "Now we are crossing the deep dense forest of Uttrakhand, River Ganges, Misty beautiful mountains of Rishikesh. It was an awesome ride of 30 mins. I wanted to ride more but while being in the sky due to excessive air pressure we had to land.

Few Advices:
1. Never take chance with your safety.
2. Don't try to take risky photographs.
3. Use life-jackets in any water activity.
4. Use helmets and seat-belts in any of the thrilling adventure.

& if you wish to go for any adventure tour and don't get company, feel free to ping me. 😃

Need of Information Securities Knowledge

It feels so honored while addressing youngsters to educate them about the need of Cyber Securities in our day-to-day social life. Since we have heard off plenty Hacking or Cyber Frauds happening all across the globe each day. Most of them are based on financial loss to various banks, PSUs, MNCs, other corporates etc. But, in my colateral views, most disastrous effect of hacking can be seen in the problems faced by individuals after their online accounts gets hacked. Female gender is the most victimized area in this regards.

Guest Lecture on Information Securities

The picture shown above was my experience to one of the most prestigious institution of Chandigarh where initially when i asked "How many of your wants to hack anyone's accounts" hardly 5-6 people raised their hands. But when i moulded my question to "How many of you actually wants to see what your close friends are discussing/backbiting about you in their private conversation online" Everyone was too eager to learn it. But they never thought off other people too wants to know the same tactics to hack these individuals's accounts. So they are least secured and become prey to online fake profile cases and other social media kidnapping, extortion, murder, blackmailing cases. So my only advice is that, we should use internet only if we know how to use it without being hacked. Else it can be hell loads of destructive.
